From a hoodie and sneakers to a simple denim jacket and the right accessories kick this outfit into high gear. As I have said one hundred times over, being comfortable is extremely important to me. Everyone down here in Miami is always dressed to the nines, but these days, you also see fitness gear transitioning in a big way.

Tights are my favorite piece of fitness clothing by a long shot! They are essentially leggings, I know, but with so many different styles, colors and fabrics how could you really go wrong? I have categories of tights in my closet. I have tights for running errands, Yoga/Pilates/Barre tights, Teaching Tights, HIIT Tights and even ‘I want my ass to look great today’ tights…you get the picture. The truth of the matter is, that like my last post about dressing up your sweats, it is all about your style, and the way you dress your tights up or down will make the statement. With that said, if you work in a buttoned up corporate environment you may want to leave the spandex at home for the weekend, but hey, you may find a way that is completely acceptable.

My Favorite Brands:

Taylor Walker Fit Tights

1-TLF Train Like a Freak– I worked for this company last month and I have to say these fall into both the Barre/Pilates/Yoga and I want to look a little sexy today categories. They are super lightweight and easy to wear. I love the mesh detail and the price point is great! Cory isn’t really sure about me wearing them around town, but the studio is a completely different story.

2-Nike Legend Tight– These are my go-to look good/feel good tight. They are a little on the heavier side so they are great to compress the legs and for the cold. I love to HIIT in them, but during the Miami summer I am forced to put them on hold for just a little while. If you live in a place without terrible humidity you should definitely invest in a pair like this!

3-EmilyHSUDesigns– I recently found this tight designer on Instagram. I love her fun bold patterns and these fall in the I love teaching category as well as Yoga and hit the dance class tights. I love this pattern and feel that it can go with everything. Although this tight makes a bold statement, its neutral colors keep them fresh and cool. Check out EmilyHSUDesigns.com and enter the discount code Taylor15 for %15 percent off your next purchase. The price point on these are amazing for the quality!

4-Splits59-Although I prefer a long tight these days I love the bold color of these Splits59 tights. Sometimes a girl does not want a pattern, but prefers to make a statement with a splash of color. These are another great all around tight. they hold you in and make you feel slim and trim. I LOVE LOVE LOVE teaching in my red pair and those even have stirrups with grip on them. Splits59 tights support in all the right places. Check out their website or if you live in my area check out my favorite athleisure boutique The Restless Soul Shop.

5-Nesh– Talk about the NYC of tights? I love the athlesiure brand Nesh and these tights are not only Tre Chic, but their fabrics are superluxe. Nesh has so many great pieces on their site, and although a little pricey, you will get so much wear out of them in and out of the studio. Check out their Instagram for more sport luxe inspiration @NESHNYC.

6-Onzie-These tights have some of my favorite patterns. They’re lightweight and perfect for those days where you just need a little ‘pick me up’. We sell them at Inner Balance Studio in North Miami Beach where I teach. They are lightweight, fit great, and definitely brighten your day.

7- Nike– Here we go again, Nike, the holy grail of fitness. These are the tights I wear wherever, whenever. They are so lightweight, but still have the intensity to hold tight to your body. I have four pairs of these tights and 5 pairs of similar shorts. They do not slide down, but they are not very high-twaisted. Oh, and you have to be carful what underwear to rock under them. Don’t tell anyone, but I usually wear Under Armour seamless panties, It’s like a battle for my bottom.

Don’t forget if you like the snakeskin pants I posted on Instagram yesterday…take advantage of your 15% discount from EmilyHSUDesigns.
Love and Tights,
Taylor
