Over the past ten years fit-fashion and athleisure trends have sky rocketed! We all shop the biggies like Nike, Under Armour and Adidas, but boutique brands are really taking transitional style to the next level. On a regular day in Miami I run from teaching to Target to a juice bar and everywhere in between. There is even a good possibility I have to pack a bag to go to a casting or dinner and drinks with the girls. I never know which direction my day is going to go, and I need to be prepared for it all, and PRISMSPORT designs help me do just that!
Since I began to shoot fit-fashion posts with my mom; Judy of Judy Walker Photography, I wanted to share how I incorporate my favorite fitness pieces into everyday day style, and that is exactly in line with how my friends over at PRISMSPORT feel about their clothes. They can come with you to work or play and everywhere in between. PRISMSPORT’S goal was to create patterned activewear that mixed fashion, performance, flexibility + smart manufacturing. After trying on my first pair I finally understood what they meant! I am not a fashion or fitness fashion snob, and I love mixing high-low pieces wherever and whenever I can. In fact, the night of my senior high school awards ceremony I won ‘Best Dressed’ wearing an $8.00 dress from Wet Seal! So I have decided I have ‘street cred’ and will continue to share my style with you, and all of my amazing readers!
Anyway, The price point for these tights run you $86.00 which I feel is pretty mid-range even low for the fit and quality. If any of you have ever taken the plunge to buy a pair of pants from a high-end fitness retailer like lululemon; then you know you can wash them about 100 times and never see a change! The quality is worth the extra $20-$30. PRISMSPORT fabric is lightweight yet holds you in, and even though I was very afraid of such a bright, bold pattern; surprisingly, the blue python has a slimming affect on my naturally muscular thighs. The waist band on this pant is a little high waist, which I personally like for class because I do not feel like my crack is going to be exposed or my belly is hanging over the waist band. Everything about these pants makes me happy! I am going to break down my top brands here in the very near future from low to high, and Prism will sure make that list.
Before we go, I just want to talk about this 4-way top! It is now one of the most versatile pieces on fitness attire I own! Just like the name says…it can be worn four ways. Left loose to wear to and from class or tied up for a sexier more fitted piece. After my class/everyday look; I paired the top with my new fav high waisted jeans and let the accessories do the talking!
My second obsession in this life is accessories, and when I stumbled into Banana Republic to find their Spring/Summer baubles had a new look; I couldn’t resist these happy yellow Floral Bell Chandelier Earrings. I have also had a thing for fringe heading into summer so the bag and booties were a no brainer and both from Target! Can you believe that?!
