EAS ADVANTEDGE 30-Day Challenge Complete

A few weeks ago I embarked on a 30-day challenge with EAS Sports Nutrition at Walgreens; where I explained all about why I ‘work for it’. Simply put, it is all because of my family. We all have different motivations to succeed. For me, my husband, siblings and parents are what propel me forward to work toward becoming the best version of myself. I saw a quote the other day that said: “Some days I eat salad, and other days I leave my keys in the refrigerator!”. How true is that? No matter how disciplined we are. Some days we do not have the time or energy to eat well and give 120% of ourselves to those around us.

Over the past few years I have forced learned to create habit loops that help me live a bit of a healthier lifestyle on a regular basis. For example, I keep water by the bed to chug first thing in the morning. I have pre-packaged smoothie ingredients in baggies and I try my best to pre-make staples like grilled chicken, quinoa and sweet potatoes on Sunday’s to help prep me to take on the week. Little behaviors like these really help me to make healthier choices, which in the long run help me to live a healthier lifestyle.

Speaking of habit loops, incorporating more protein through shakes or smoothies is something I have wanted to do for a while. So I was very excited to team up with EAS at Walgreens for this 30-day journey! What did I find? Well, not only did I stay fuller longer, but also my belly seemed leaner and less inflamed. I struggle with digestive issues; so I find myself eating five small meals a day. Instead of two snacks, I replaced them with EAS AdvantEDGE Ready to Drink Milk Chocolate, shakes or added EAS AdvantEdge Creamy Vanilla protein powder to my morning smoothie. My smoothie instantly became more satisfying and I have even experimented with pancakes and peanut butter energy balls!

Increasing your protein intake benefits your body on multiple levels:

  1. You help increase muscle mass [don’t worry ladies…you won’t get bulky]. Muscle helps burn more calories than fat, and long-lean muscle mass is G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S.
  2. Help maintain strong bones.
  3. Protein helps slow the aging process.
  4. Protein helps keep blood sugar stable.
  5. Protein actually helps make you a happier human! I love smiling…smiling’s my favorite!

And the list goes on and on! So I encourage you to join me in adding more protein to your diet on the regular!
