“Resolve to Live Well” With the Wal-Mart Wellness Hub

**This is a sponsored conversation brought to you by Wal-Mart. As Always, all opinions are my own.

Welcome to 2021. I don’t know about you, but not a lot has shifted for me since leaving 2020 in the dust. The news is still a stress inducing spiral. We are at home 95% of the time and toddler life is a glorious mess of tantrums, kisses and discovery. It is all so painfully beautiful. There were so many lessons learned this past year. One being, that my family needs to slow down. We have enjoyed leaning into each other and discovering layers that have been missed due to the never-ending hamster wheel of work and family obligations.

Right before the pandemic began, my husband and I decided to give up alcohol for a while. We started a daily reading practice and began only using exercise and meditation as stress relief. We spend a half hour talking in the morning and connecting over coffee before our two-year-old awakens us with his many demands. I will forever be grateful for 2020, for making wellness a household affair. Now that I am pregnant with my second, I know my world will be rocked yet again, but I am hoping to keep some of these rituals and habits in tact.

I have struggled with sleep for years. Vivid dreams to be exact. Dreams so real, I feel like I live them with every ounce of my being. I wake up feeling less than refreshed and needless to say, pregnancy two hasn’t helped ONE. BIT.  Moving into 2021, I set the intention to get better sleep and continue to manage stress as effectively as I can. When Wal-Mart reached out about partnering, I was pleasantly surprised to see their mission to help their customers “Resolve to Live Well.”

Wal-Mart has launched a Wellness Hub to help you stick to your resolutions and invest in your health in a tangible way. Not only do they have a wide variety of products to help you stick to your goals, but they are now offering insight into the importance of different aspects of physical health. For example, when I logged onto the hub, I scrolled down to the survey, answered a few questions and in return, it offered me a tangible action plan to better sleep and self-care.

I love that big brands like Wal-Mart are taking such a deep dive into wellness and I wanted to give you some insight into their practices and resolution pillars. If you take a look at their website, you will find a fantastic diabetes podcast as well as wellness tools and resources including a newsletter and courses to help you manage your health. You can learn more on everything from eating and stress to resiliency and longevity. The best part is that they are absolutely free!

4 resolution pillars Wal-Mart is Helping You Focus on This Year:

On the wellness hub, I was offered free modules on how sleep works and tangible tips on how to cultivate a better night’s sleep! Personally, I think this is a great starting point for anyone looking to improve their health and learn how to take steps towards a healthier you.

I made a promise to myself that 2021 is going to be the year I make the time for self-care and better sleep. It is so important to carve it out, add it to your schedule and adhere to it (something I am still working on). I made a list of self-care and nutrition items from Wal-Mart.com to help me on that journey.

Practice Self Care: create rituals for deep relaxation: Many of these items are already in my bathroom and some I have in my cart for pick-up!

Eat better: discover wholesome foods, vitamins & supplements: I love going to Wal-Mart for things like supplement powders, nuts and clean snacks. A lot of the same items I would get at my local grocery store, I find at Wal-Mart for an afforadable price. Here are some regular pantry items I have on hand.

Walmart offers free shipping, no order minimum on items from Walmart.com (excludes oversized/freight & Marketplace items) with next-day and two-day shipping options and free delivery from your local store on orders $35+ (restrictions apply). Check out the hub and set a tangible plan of action to tackle your health in 2021 today!
