Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend, and is heading into Monday feeling refreshed and ready to rock! [wishful thinking…I know] My horoscope said this would be a very social month, and as it turns out, it has! I have been going out on tons of girls dates, and finally feel so happy in the circle that has been built around me. It has definitely taken a full four years to call Miami home, but I have made some pretty incredible friends along my journey; starting in Oregon and ending up in the MIA! I am definitely a girls girl, and thrive on connections with other strong women.
On Thursday I was invited to an event at the first Ouidad flagship store in Fort Lauderdale. If you do not know Ouidad; they are a hair care brand that specialize in curls. It was a fantastic event and I cannot wait to get treatment there to help get my curl back to boingy and bouncy! I decided to keep my look for the event a little more than casual, and chose this bodysuit and denim skirt combo from ABERCROMBIE & FITCH. Yes, I said Abercrombie & Fitch! [They are having a mid-season sale right now, so make sure to check them out!] I never thought I would set food back into A & F after working in the store through my high school and college summers, but I have, and I have been obsessed ever since. Not only is the price point lower, but the clothes are adorbs, and still fit my body better than a lot of other stores.
Bodysuits have been a go-to of mine since I was sliding and gliding across the floor in dance class when I was five; however, bodysuits of child’s past did NOT come with a snappable crotches, which meant little girls [me included] everywhere had to strip down to their birthday suits to go to the potty! These days, a snappy bodysuit is just what the doctor ordered. They come in tons of shapes, fabrics and colors and are a great layering pieces. Bodysuits stay tucked in, which means no exposed crack. Remember jeans of Abercrombie past? Those I can totally leave in 2002, but the bodysuit is SO 2016!
