After weeks of planning I am so excited to share a secret project that I have been working on the past couple of months. As many of you know, I started blogging as an outlet to fill my down time, and I am blown away by both the opportunities it has afforded me, and the sense of community it has offered. Cory and I have moved several times throughout our six…almost seven years together, and the constant reinvention has been both a a blessing and a curse. I would work hard, set goals, and achieve…only to ultimately walk away from it all, and begin a new. You learn a lot about yourself during the hard times. Ultimately, the biggest takeaway is that mindset is everything, and a woman with a positive attitude can do anything she wants to do!
Do not get me wrong, I have had my days, days feeling sorry for myself, days where I want to give up, but I have no doubt, that if I was not faced with these challenges that have been laid before me, I would certainly not have begun building a life that I love, with a man I love to the moon and back, and a career I could have only dreamed of.
So with all of that said, this brings me to the introduction of the Taylor Walker Fit Shop. A place where I will be selling products that I truly believe in, and use on a daily basis. The most important product that I have been working on is a new line of ‘Superfood’ based T-Shirts and tanks. As many of you know by now, my blog is heavily food based because cooking and learning about food is one of my biggest passions. I have taught myself how to cook a restaurant quality steak, my first holiday Turkey, and I have even found ways to make my midwest guy eat quinoa and kale by the handfuls. With the help of my right hand man, I have coined a few phrases, put together some designs, and came up with a cute and quirky product that gives back to the community!
When you buy a TWFit Superfood T-Shirt or Tank, 5% of all proceeds will be donated to Feeding South Florida. For every dollar donated, Feeding South Florida can distribute 7 pounds of food which equates to 6 meals! I truly believe in goods that give back, and my shop will be open to the public on September 15th!
